PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge in a wide variety of contexts. The job roles that relate to this qualification may include Contracts Officer, Project Administrator and Quality Officer.

Individuals in these roles work autonomously, and might be members of a project team, with no direct responsibility for overall project outcomes. Primarily, these roles would support wider project operations. They may use project tools and methodologies selectively to support organisational or business activities.

 

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

 

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The Certificate IV program is made up of nine (9) units.  Three (3) of these units are core while the remaining Six (6) units are electives.

 

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome. They must not include the choice of the unit BSBPMG430 Undertake project work.

PROGRAM DURATION

This program is studied over 18 x 3 hour sessions, with a maximum of 14 students per training session.

 

The duration to complete the program is 6 months from the date of enrolment. The duration has the following structure:

  • Live Online / Face to Face teaching/training 3hrs x 18weeks
  • Self paced learning 6hrs x 24 weeks
  • Workplace direct observation 8hrs x 24 weeks
  • Revision and re-sits 6hrs x 3 weeks
  • Assessments 5hrs x 25 weeks
  • Exposure to industry and networking meetings 2hrs x 25 weeks
  • Educational support

 

This program is delivered over 18 weeks based, based on once a week evening session running between 6 to 9pm, delivered in either "Live Online" or "Face to Face" mode.

 

Although the duration of the program is 6 months, individuals (depends on their experience, discipline, time management and organisational skills) may be able to complete the program in 20 weeks.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Although there are NIL entry requirements for this qualification, individuals seeking entry into this accelerated program address the following criteria:

  1. Pre-selected by interview
  2. Year 10 completion

 

Prior to enrolment, individuals will be interviewed initially to determine knowledge and experience. If successful, the interview will be followed by a LLN self-assessment questions.

 

Assistance available includes varied "inclusive" delivery options via gap training including one on one coaching.

 

Ability to:

  • Effectively use and navigate through a computer operating system
  • Use basic level of Microsoft Office 2019 or equivalent
  • Use basic level of a scheduling software tool such as MS Project or equivalent

If an individual lacks the basic use of the above desktop applications, we then suggest an extra 6 hours training session conducted at a different time than the training program enrolled in, at a cost of $450 + GST per person

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

Individuals with industry experience managing projects can possibly qualify for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), whereby they get assessed on evidence of work completed in their industry. Check RPL section on this website.

COURSE FEE (Includes $110 administration fee, but excludes textbook OR learning materials fee)

 

$3,260.00

paid in 3 separate installments:

  1st installment - $1,500.00

2nd installment - $1,500.00

2nd installment - $260.00

Other payment plans may be available depending on the circumstances of the individual.
