PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. The job roles that relate to this qualification may include Project Manager and Project Team Leader.
Individuals in these roles have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The Diploma program is made up of twelve (12) units. Eight (8) of these units are core while the remaining four (4) units are electives. Students may complete all four elective units listed below, or choose units from any endorsed Training Package or accredited course at Diploma level or higher.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome. They must not include the choice of the unit BSBPMG522 Undertake project work.

PROGRAM DURATION
The duration to complete the program is 12 month from the date of enrolment. The duration has the following structure:
Live Online / Face to Face teaching/training 3hrs x 21weeks
Self paced learning 6hrs x 48 weeks
Workplace direct observation 8hrs x 48 weeks
Revision and re-sits 6hrs x 6 weeks
Assessments 10hrs x 12 holistic and knowledge assessments
Exposure to industry and networking with PM organisations 2hrs x 48 weeks
Educational support
This is an accelerated training program delivered over 21 weeks, based on once a week evening session running between 6 to 9pm, delivered in either "Live Online" or "Face to Face" mode.
Individuals are expected to attend all 21 weeks training sessions, with the assessments submitted by the due dates as indicated in the schedule of delivery and advised by the teacher/assessor. Otherwise, individuals need to discuss alternate submission dates with their teacher/assessor.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Although there are NIL entry requirements for this qualification, individuals seeking entry into this accelerated Diploma program address the following criteria:
Pre-selected by interview
Year 10 completion or higher
Participants are considered to have the experience to enter program at level 5 with 3 years vocational experience in project management, with a specific exposure to:
managing projects in a workplace or community (may involve: scoping, scheduling, costing, resourcing, procurement and stakeholder engagement)
producing project deliverables
working within a time frame
Prior to enrolment, individuals will be interviewed initially to determine knowledge and experience. If successful, the interview will be followed by a LLN self-assessment questions.
Assistance available includes varied "inclusive" delivery options via gap training including one on one coaching.
Ability to:
Effectively use and navigate through a computer operating system
Use basic level of Microsoft Office 2019 or equivalent
Use basic level of a scheduling software tool such as MS Project or equivalent
If an individual lacks the basic use of the above desktop applications, we then suggest an extra 6 hours training session conducted at a different time than the training program enrolled in, at a cost of $450 + GST per person

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Individuals with industry experience managing projects can possibly qualify for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), whereby they get assessed on evidence of work completed in their industry. Initial RPL assessment attracts additional fee.. Check RPL section on this website.
